Pension Warrior Updates and News

The NUCPP works to ensure pension funds of hardworking Americans remain solvent and beneficial to all members, retired and active.  NUCPP services are steadfast in the concerted effort to educate, inform and advocate for accountability, reform and restoration of multiemployer pension funds. NUCPP services exist to make a difference and develop new standards to safeguard Central States Pension Funds and all multiemployer pension funds.  NUCPP promotional services promote public awareness of the need to protect and reform pensions to ensure solvency for multiemployer defined pension fund participants.

Pension Warriors,

WE DID IT! AT A VOTE OF 49-50, THE BUTCH LEWIS EMERGENCY PENSION RELIEF ACT WAS PASSED TODAY IN THE SENATE AS A PART OF THE COVID-19 RELIEF BILL WITHOUT ANY CHANGES OR AMENDMENTS!

THE ALL IN AND DONE IN ‘21 WORKED!

There are so many people and entities that we want to thank and we will address that in a separate message.  For now the NUCPP Board of Directors wants to thank all of the retirees, who stood up and came together over 8+ years to fight for what we deserve and worked for many years. It’s not surprising that a group of  Teamster retirees would organize, but who ever imagined that we would not only organize, but band together to create a force that couldn’t be ignored! We have rallied, traveled to Washington and across the country, lobbied, sent emails, wrote letters and made thousands of phone calls.  We have worked with all stakeholders and continually worked with Congress in a bipartisan manner.  It wasn’t easy and it was exhausting! We often thought it would never end with the outcome we desired and deserved.

Now, here we are on the final drive.  The COVID-19 Relief Bill will go 

back to the House for approval and then on the desk of President Biden.  This should happen by March 14th.

Pension Warriors, the NUCPP Board of Directors cannot thank you enough for your continuing support and trust in our mission and leadership.  This was truly a team effort and we are thankful for the many friends we have made along the way.  THERE WILL BE MANY FRIENDS FOREVER!
