The NUCPP works to ensure pension funds of hardworking Americans remain solvent and beneficial to all members, retired and active.  NUCPP services are steadfast in the concerted effort to educate, inform and advocate for accountability, reform and restoration of multiemployer pension funds. NUCPP services exist to make a difference and develop new standards to safeguard Central States Pension Funds and all multiemployer pension funds.  NUCPP promotional services promote public awareness of the need to protect and reform pensions to ensure solvency for multiemployer defined pension fund participants.

We are excited and honored to announce that President Biden has chosen NUCPP Vice President Davey Grubbs to serve on the PBGC Advisory Board, representing the interests of the general public. 

President names Davey Grubbs as new member to PBGC Advisory Committee | Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation

As you all know, after receiving our letters from CSPF regarding the pending reduction to our pensions, Davey organized the NUCPP North Carolina Committee to Protect Pensions and still serves as President.  He immediately connected with other retirees banding together throughout the country to fight those draconic cuts and was involved in forming the NUCPP in 2016. Davey previously served as Treasurer of the NUCPP until accepting the current position of Vice President in 2021.

Davey’s appointment is an honor that acknowledges Davey’s expertise and recognizes the continued work of the NUCPP in saving the pensions that affect 10.1 million Americans. For further information on the role of the PBGC Advisory Board, please see the link below.
