08.15.24 #25 NUCPP AT WORK - 2025 SLATE OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS
August 15, 2024
Pension Warriors,
The 4th Annual Meeting of the NUCPP is quickly approaching. If you haven’t yet made your hotel reservations for September 25th, the Drury Hotel has agreed to extend the cut-off until August 17th. To make reservations, please call 800-325-0720 and refer to Group #10111225. We hope you will be able to join us!
We will vote on the NUCPP Officer Slate for the next three years at the meeting. The NUCPP Board of Directors met on July 24, 2024, to discuss the future of the NUCPP and its future leadership. At that meeting, Bernie Anderson, Treasurer and Membership Committee Chairman, announced that effective January 1, 2025, he will be stepping down to spend more time with his family. As we all know, after receiving his letter from CSPF about the impending pension cuts, Bernie immediately became the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Committee to Protect Pensions co-chairman. He joined the NUCPP at its inception in 2016. Bernie was chosen as an Advisory Board Member and later accepted the challenge of organizing the membership list, which he did an outstanding job! On January 1, 2022, Bernie accepted the treasurer position and continued to organize the membership. Bernie has agreed to continue as an NUCPP Advisory Board member. The Board of Directors thanks Bernie for his dedication and unending contribution to the pension fight and the NUCPP. We wish Bernie good health, relaxation and happiness as he finally takes a well-deserved retirement.
As the NUCPP continues its 8th year, the following were nominated for the Board of Director positions:
